About The Author

Heyđź‘‹I'm Jessica Simon, Author

Jessica Simon is a new author, visual artist, and global collaborator whose recent work is rooted in compassion and cultural connection. Jessica’s creative journey has taken her beyond the studio into the hearts and lives of those who inspire her the most.

In 2021, during the solitude of the pandemic, what started as deception on-line, turned into a collaborative art project with a group of carefully selected West Africans. Hearing their stories and watching the videos that they sent, Jessica felt she had to convey the underlying messages to “her side” of the world. The project turned into a profound exploration of resilience and humanity. Her debut memoir, “Hello Baby” was born from these connections, shedding light on the stories of everyday people navigating the complexities of life in modern-day Africa – with joy, dignity, and hope.

In 2024, Jessica traveled to Ghana, immersing herself in the culture, and teaching art to school children in a remote village in the Volta Region. These experiences deepened her understanding of the people and places that inspired her first book, and planted the seeds for her next work, “Jessie Goes To Ghana,” slated for release in December, 2025.

Jessica writes to give a voice to untold stories, to explore the meaning of lived experience, and to inspire others to risk their own significance – to live with empathy, understanding, and human kindness.
